Cost of moving out?

Your budget sounds good, but do factor in extra fun things ----. Ive lived on my own since I was 17 (28 now) so I've done this many many times before. Figure your total move in cost as 3 times your budget (Gotta consider deposit and if you have to pay first/last months rent) Also, it depends on where you live. I live in southern california so rent for 600 is quite a bit under the average! So for you 1600 - 1st month bills, 1600 for furniture, moving, extras, 1600 for deposits, plus deposits on any services (if you never had electric or water in your name they may want a deposit) This sounds like alot but you should have extra left over to .... have fun!
