My 18 month old son has tooth decay. what are my options?

his 4 front teeth are affected. the dentist wants to pull all four. i was wondering if there are any other options, so mabey we could save his teeth, or if they do have to get pulled if there is such thing as baby dentures... please help i feel just awful
