How good is it?

i have been feeding my cat (well hes 9 months) Purina kitten food sence i brought him home... is purina a good brand of food for him? when should i change his food to regular cat food? whats a good brand to give him... i want him to be as healthy as possible so i dont want to feed him anything bad....
